Cat Home Remedy

It is important to notice when your cat isn’t well. The speed at which you notice
any health problems will determine how well they will make a turnaround and get better.

If unnoticed, health problems can become a very serious issue for your and your feline friend. Unfortunately – cats can’t tell you verbally when they are not feeling well, so it is up to you be be attentive and notice when things aren’t right.

Symptoms such as coughing, sneezing, runny nose, mucus-like buildup in their eyes or ears or even a high temperature can be tell-tale signs. Even a dramatic lack of energy (i.e. doesn’t want to exercise at all) is a bad sign.

It is important to note here that if you notice the cat seems to be in a serious state, or even if you aren’t convinced that it is serious – the best course of action of to call your local vet immediately. Vets are trained in health care for your cat. Veterinarians really shine when your cat is actually sick – because that is what they most commonly deal with.

When talking with a vet – be sure to be very descriptive and specific about the problems your cat is having. The most common thing a vet hears by their customers is ‘my cat is acting funny’. While it is a natural reaction to say something like that – it doesn’t help the vet in diagnosing the problem! You need to be specific and say things like ‘my cat has a runny nose and is limping’ as an example.

But of course there are also times when you notice your cat is unwell and you would like to do something about it yourself. There are many different home remedies for cats – and many of those are totally natural. You don’t want to have to drug your cat with medicines that you’re unsure about.

Cat home remedies often require a little preparation and research on the part of you – the owner, but once understood they can be easily applied and your cat will appreciate it. Remedies range from the type of food your cat is eating (whether it is natural and fresh), to the environment that your cat lives in.
