What’s REALLY in Cat Food…
We have all seen the advertisements haven’t we… “Wholesome, meaty bites of chicken, nurtious, tasteful… your cat will love it!”. But is your typical can of catfood REALLY that nutritious? In fact, is it actually HARMFUL to our beloved felines? I have found the latter to be more truthful. You are about to discover just what is really in your cat’s food…
We will first explore just what can be found in a typical can of cat food, then we will examine exactly what it can do to your cat. And finally we will discuss what can be done about it. If you care about your cats like I do mine, you’ll be shocked and horrified by some of the things you’re going to discover. But fear not, because I do have a solution for our furry friends. Read on…
So what is in cat food? If you want a simple description, just think of it as the food that we humans reject. Off cuts that are too fatty for human consumption. If you want specifics, you can expect to find traces of bones, blood, pus, intestines, ligaments (and that is just for starters). You can also think of it as by-products. The waste that is left over from the food that we do eat. It has also been reported in numerous documents that actual cat and dog is mixed up to feed to your pets! Don’t believe it? I’m not surprised, I didn’t believe it for a long time either.
Aside from the disgusting amount of waste that we let our cats eat, there is also another main ingredient that goes into cat food that isn’t good. Cats are carnivorous creatures by nature. They are primarily meat eaters. But sadly, in order for the producers of this cat food to make the product seem more plentiful and wholesome – they often cram it full of wheat and grains – which cats have much trouble processing.
How do you feel about dishing out a typical can of cat food now? If you’re anything like me, you’ll be feeling a little sorry for puss. All of these disgusting additives can mean terrible things for your cat. Cancer, hair loss, bad vision, lack of energy, digestive failure and general bad health are all potential side effects of typical cat food.
The bottom line to all of this is that typical cat food contains a bare minimum (if that) of nutrition towards what your cat really needs. It would be similar to a human being eating fast food every morning, lunch and dinner. Yes you may ’survive’, but you won’t be overly happy. Well neither are our furry friends.
The good news is that there is food that your cats will love eating, which is also healthy and delicious. I have created a FREE eCourse which is available to the right of this page.
